Sergio obtained his law degree (LL.B.) from the University of Western Ontario in 1997. Prior to that he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science & History in 1992 and a Master of Arts in History in 1994, both from the University of Toronto.

Sergio has assisted lead counsel with aboriginal claims issues at the Federal Court of Canada. Sergio has acted as lead counsel in both jury and non-jury trials. His most recent jury verdict resulted in a damage award of $1.2 million dollars. He has represented plaintiffs involved in motor vehicle collisions, statutory accident benefit claims, slip and fall matters, wrongful death actions and fire loss
claims. Sergio has also acted for individuals, who have been wronged by institutions such as churches, banks and insurance companies.

Sergio is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, Canadian Bar Association, Metropolitan Toronto Lawyers Association, Canadian Italian Advocate Society, the American Association of Justice and the Thomas More Lawyers Guild.
